COLONIE - Sephora USA Inc. will open a retail store at Colonie Center this autumn, according to officials at Feldman Mall Properties Inc., which operates the mall.

The San Francisco-based retailer of high-end beauty products, a unit of Paris-based LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, will occupy a 5,855-square-foot store at the mall.

"This is a very high-end store, beautifully appointed," said Larry Feldman, chief executive of Feldman Mall Properties.

A typical Sephora store generates sales of $800 to $1,000 per square foot, well above the $308 per square foot for retailers at Colonie Center.

The lease was signed Thursday.
