Feldman Mall Properties said this week it has signed an agreement with Rave Digital Media/Rave Motion Pictures to build a 14-screen, all-digital multiplex at Northgate Mall at Colerain Avenue and Springdale Road in Colerain Township. The new theater, which will have 2,850 seats, is expected to open in the fall of 2008. It will occupy space vacated by J.C. Penney, which opened a new store farther north on Colerain at the I-275 interchange.
The Northgate complex will be Dallas-based Rave's second in Greater Cincinnati. It operates a multi-screen cinema in West Chester off I-75's Union Center exit.
The former Northgate Cinema, a five-screen theater in a separate building next to the mall, will be torn down, said Tamie Hoffman, the mall's marketing director.
